  Propane or Natural gas.

• What is the thermal efficiency of this unit?

• Can this unit be installed outside?

  This unit is not designed to operate outside

• What are the electrical requirements for this unit?

  You will need a 120V, 30 amp circuit to run this heater.

• How much water flow do you need to activate the flow switch?

  Approximately 2 gpm to close.

• What is the minimum operating temperature of this unit?

  The minimum entering water temperature the unit should experience on a regular basis is 140° F.

• What is operational temperature rise across the coil?

  The optimum temperature rise across the coil should be 20° F

• Can these units be stacked?

  No

• What codes are available on these units?

• Do these units come with a factory installed pump?

  The LW models all come with a factory installed pump, but the LB units do not (customer installed pumps).

• Do you have to use a storage tank with this unit?

  This unit can be used in a hydronic application without a storage tank as long as you use a primary/secondary plumbing arrangement.

• What type of combustion chamber does this unit have?

  The unit has a stainless steel burner with a radial fired design.

• What kind of heat exchanger does this unit have?

  The heat exchanger is an extruded finned copper tubing exposing maximum surface area.

• What kind of venting options does this unit have?

  This unit has multiple vent options but must use AL29-4c for the exhaust pipe since it is a Category IV water heater.

• What is the maximum distance this unit can be vented?

  The total equivalent footage must not exceed 25 feet for intake or exhaust. Each 90 deg. elbow is equal to 5 feet.

• How much water does this unit hold?

  The unit will hold approximately one gallon of water for every 100,000 BTUs

• What is the minimum dynamic gas supply pressure?

  The heater needs 7” wc while running. Anything lower than that will create “hard starts”.
