Bock Water Heater Balanced Combustion System (Direct Vent)

Bock's Balanced Combustion System^TM (BCS^TM) requires no chimney. The specifically-designed burner pulls outside air in through vent holes in the outer shell of the flue. Exhaust gasses are expelled through the inner shell and out a second set of vent holes. This configuration preheats the combustion air while providing a cool outer surface for mounting through combustible materials. Because the BCS^TM uses only outside air for combustion, its the perfect fit for installation in today's tight homes. Its performance also shines in small, confined areas with limited airflow, such as restaurants or other businesses having negative atmosphere pressure problems caused by using large exhaust fans.

Why Balanced Combustion?

The Bock BCS^TM sealed combustion heater reduces space heating costs and noise while eliminating problems associated with power-vented combustion. Available in 32, 40, 50 & two 119 gallon models for Bock oil-fired or power gas water heaters. The Balanced Combustion System must be purchased as a complete package.

The BCS^TM vent is a chamber within a chamber. Heated flue gas is exhausted through an inner chamber, while cool outside air is pulled in through a surrounding outer chamber. This allows outside air to be preheated prior to combustion, while providing a cool outer surface for mounting through combustible materials.

• Standard length BCS^TM vent (30-1/2") for wall thickness up to 8" (optional 30-9/16" length for wall thickness up to 12").
• All stainless steel venting.
• Circumferential combustion clearance - 1/2" minimum
• Direct side wall venting - eliminates noxious fumes and odors.
• BCS unit allows outside air to be preheated before entering chamber - provides more efficient combustion.
