Radiant Floor Heat Advantages
WarmRite Floor® makes every room warm and inviting. Unlike forced-air
heating which blows hot, dry air into rooms where it rises to the ceiling before
warming objects and occupants below, IPEX WarmRite Floor® radiates
heat directly where it's needed - at floor level. Room surfaces are more pleasing
to the touch. Humidity levels are more easily controlled. And airborne allergens,
dust and dryness are all but eliminated.
We also offer radiant heating systems for outdoor applications such as turf
warming and snow & ice melting. Clean, quiet and available in a wide range
of configurations designed to work with various heat sources, IPEX WarmRite Floor®
is a healthy, ergonomic, cost-efficient, low-maintenance heating alternative that
adds comfort and resale value to any property.
Comfort
WarmRite Floors provide the ultimate in home heating comfort – cool uninviting
tile or hardwood floors are transformed into luxurious living space.
WarmRite Floors can provide primary heating for the entire home, or they can
be designed to provide select floor warming to certain areas of the home – while
existing heat sources provide primary heat.
What ever your specific needs, ask us for complete details on increasing your
home comfort level.
Heat
Distribution / Room Temperature
WarmRite Floors provide an even, constant heat throughout the entire house.
Warmth stays were it’s needed most, at the floor level. Forced air systems distribute
heat unevenly with hot air rising to the ceiling. This creates a " Warm Head
– Cold Feet" sensation which is not what the body likes. WarmRite floors
allow you to heat the extremities – feet, legs – and provide you with greater
personal comfort at a reduced room temperature. The same room with forced air
heating may require air to be heated as much as 20-30 degrees hotter in order
to provide the same level of overall warmth to your body.
Dust Control
WarmRite Floor heating systems eliminate the blowing of dust associated with
forced air heating systems. WarmRite systems circulate heated water through Kitec
pipes installed within or beneath your floors. The warmth is transferred to the
floor and to you, without the hassle of blowing hot air and dust particles around
your home.
Allergies
Because WarmRite Floor heating systems do not blow hot air around the home,
the amount of dust, pollen and other irritants distributed throughout the air
is greatly reduced. This built in benefit makes WarmRite radiant heating systems
a favorite with allergy sufferers.
Energy Efficiency
Individual heating designs must be calculated for each project and style of
installation. Analyzing floor coverings, understanding insulation levels, whether
slab construction, topping pour or staple up installation is required - each aspect
of the design requires detailed attention. In general however, a WarmRite Floor
radiant heating system requires less energy to operate and keep your home comfortable
than does a typical forced air furnace.
WarmRite Floors circulate warm water at temperatures typically from 90 degrees
F– 140 degrees F depending on the design. The system uses these relatively low
temperature levels to create a thermal heated mass in the floor that in turn radiates
warmth to the home’s occupants.
Less energy is required to heat water to these temperatures than is required of
a forced air system to heat and blow air throughout the house. WarmRite Floor
radiant heating systems are more efficient at heating the home as well, with far
less heat being lost to the ceiling of the home.
