Hydronic Heating Applications
Industrial,
Commercial and Institutional Heating
In office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, factories, schools and hospitals
- to name just a few commercial, industrial and institutional applications - WarmRite
Floor® offers potential energy savings, as well as reduced operating
and maintenance costs.
Comparative studies in manufacturing facilities have shown that hydronic radiant
heating actually improves warmth and comfort levels for occupants while reducing
energy costs by as much as 50% over traditional high-volume, overhead forced-air
heating.
Outdoors in winter, under loading docks, parking access ramps, sidewalks, steps
and entranceways, IPEX WarmRite Floor® snow & ice melting systems
prevent slips and falls, at the same time reducing maintenance and snow removal
costs.
Residential
Heating
IPEX WarmRite Floor® is ideal as the primary heat source in residential applications.
Hydronic radiant heating can be installed in every room, replacing traditional
forced-air heating, or in select areas to make typically cold ceramic, hardwood
or basement floors warm and inviting.
In new construction, radiant piping can be installed directly in slab floors,
stapled-up or hung between floor joists, or sandwiched between subfloor and topping
pour under tile flooring in bathrooms, kitchens and foyers.
For retrofit or secondary heating applications, piping can be installed in
walls or ceilings behind drywall, or connected to hydronic heating devices such
as baseboard heaters and standalone panel radiators.
Auxiliary residential applications include direct installation under patios,
walks and driveways for snow & ice melting in winter, indirect domestic water
heating and hydro-air subsystems.
Snow
Melt Systems
Installed outdoors – directly under under concrete, asphalt, paving stones
or interlocking brick – IPEX WarmRite Floor® snow & ice melting
systems offer improved winter safety and reduced maintenance in high-traffic commercial,
institutional, industrial and residential locations.
Proven reliable and effective at clearing loading docks, driveways, walkways,
plazas and courtyards where snow and ice can put employees, visitors and the general
public at risk of slips and falls, WarmRite Floor® hydronic radiant
heating systems pay for themselves many times over by saving thousands of dollars
a year in snow removal costs.
Under sidewalks, patios and driveways in residential applications, WarmRite
Floor® is an effective alternative to snow blowing or shoveling – savings
hours of labor and hundreds of dollars in snow removal equipment.
